And even if there were a really good reason for it, well, like I said before: Considering this type of aesthetic is pretty standard in modern visual media, I still don’t see the problem. In the meantime though, I would say this is miles closer to realistic/believable hair, regardless of time period. If someone ever does a better job of keeping true to Skyrim’s styles, while making them look more like hair than wood, I’ll definitely give their mod a shout too. And IMO, that isn’t because Skyrim’s hair is “authentic” - it’s because Skyrim’s hair is, frankly, shit. Most other contemporary fantasy visual media (games, TV, movies) have hair that is far closer to this mod than to vanilla Skyrim. But personally, I think every single replacement it adds is an upgrade, even if not an accurate successor in every case (though I would say about 70% are reasonably consistent, if you exclude the bald styles which the author intentionally diverted from). I understand that not everyone will be interested in this mod. Your example is cherry-picked though, and not in my opinion a fair representation of the average replacement provided by this mod. They took some liberties in cases, to be sure, and some styles aren’t as close as others. I mean, I’m just referencing the description.
